After blowing a lead to one of the worst teams in the majors, Sean Newcomb showed the fire that burns inside any athlete. But this meltdown went a little too far.
The Atlanta Braves left-hander kicked a garbage can in frustration following a 7-6 loss to the Miami Marlins, and the can caused a nearby fire extinguisher to fall off the wall, open and cover the clubhouse, according to reports.
The clubhouse and belongings were covered with powder, preventing the team from entering.
A cleanup crew stayed until early Sunday morning, and one worker said Newcomb apologized and offered to pay for any damage.
