Marcus Stroman left his start early Wednesday.
The 28-year-old right-hander was removed from the Mets’ matchup against the Indians at Citi Field with left hamstring tightness, the team announced. He threw 62 pitches and surrendered one run on five hits in four innings of work before departing.
New York acquired Stroman from the Blue Jays before the trade deadline in exchange for two pitching prospects. He entered the game against the Indians with a 1-0 record and a 5.17 ERA in three starts with the team.
Stroman was replaced by reliever Jeurys Familia, who threw a scoreless fifth inning.
