Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton could be well enough to make the trip overseas later this month.
Yankees general manager Brian Cashman on Monday said the team is hopeful the two stars will be back in the lineup in time for their series against the Red Sox in London on June 29-30.
“We’re not definitely trying to line things up so we have [Judge] for London, but it’s certainly possible we could have him before London,” Cashman said on WFAN, per MLB.com. “It’s a moving target. He has to finish off another seven to nine days of field work before we can schedule a rehab assignment.”
Yankees manager Aaron Boone confirmed Judge, who has been out since April 20 with an oblique strain, hit off a high-velocity machine and performed arc runs on Monday. Boone added that he could appear in some minor-league rehab games as early as this weekend.
