So, Mina comes in for his full debut… and he has been in confident mood this week

DOMINIC KING: Yerry Mina bounds into a meeting room at Everton’s training ground and, immediately, he begins to smile. It had been said the Colombia defender was an infectious character but, until this point, he had barely been sighted.

Now here is, the hulking presence whom Marco Silva believes will transform Everton’s defence. Mina will make his first Premier League start at Chelsea on Sunday, nearly three months after completing a £28million switch from Barcelona, and is anxious to make up for lost time.

His desire to put his foot forward is obvious. Mina, 24, began 2018 harbouring dreams of becoming a star in Barcelona’s defence after joining them from Brazilian side Palmeiras but those ambitions were ruthlessly snuffed out.

Will Hazard start today… find out in a few minutes

Maurizio Sarri certainly doesn’t expect Eden Hazard to be able to play the full 90 minutes today.

Hazard may not play a full 90 minutes for Chelsea until after the international break against Tottenham.

The 27-year-old missed three matches with a back injury and on Thursday night made his first start since the October 20 draw with Manchester United.

Hazard played for 62 minutes as Chelsea advanced to the Europa League knockout stages with victory at BATE Borisov of Belarus, having made his return as a substitute in last Sunday’s win over Crystal Palace.
