Huddersfield reveal their REAL shirt for the new season… as sponsors Paddy Power bin the ‘prank’ sash – and take the moral high ground to say bookies branding on football kits has ‘gone too far’
Huddersfield have revealed their actual home kit for the upcoming season as Paddy Power bin the controversial prank ‘sash’ design as part of their ‘Save Our Shirt’ campaign.
The betting company admitted on Friday that the original release of Huddersfield’s home kit, which featured Paddy Power’s logo emblazoned on it from left to right, was just a hoax.
The Championship side’s real home kit does not feature sponsors Paddy Power’s logo on it at all as the bookies are calling for shirts to be unbranded.
Paddy Power’s new ‘Save Our Shirt’ campaign wants to put an end to brands sponsoring football shirts – including fellow betting companies.
