Man Utd desperate to sign Coutinho AND Sancho as Solskjaer eyes three deals – Schira

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to overhaul his struggling squad after a disappointing season that saw them finish sixth in the premier league and fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Express Sport understands Borussia Dortmund sensation Sancho is their number one target and now Italian journalist Nicolo Schira says they will look to land Coutinho as well.

He also claims they will try and lure Youri Thielemans from Monaco after he impressed on loan at Leicester.

Coutinho is unsettled at Barcelona and has struggled for form since moving to the Camp Nou from Liverpool last January.

The Spanish giants are set to sign Antoine Griezmann after he revealed he will leave Atletcio Madrid and the Frenchman’s arrival could make Coutinho surplus to requirements.

United will try and get him for significantly less than the £142million they paid to sign him especially as they might have to pay £80m for Sancho.

Sancho has been a revelation for Dortmund this season and Soskjaer would love to add his electric pace to his squad.

The Germans are understood to be desperate to keep him and have no immediate need to sell after Chelsea paid nearly £60m for Christian Pulisic.

However, their hand might be forced if Sancho wants to return home just two years after leaving Manchester City for the Bundesliga.

United need someone to play on the right of attack and Sancho has all the qualities Solskjaer requires as he looks to rebuild his side.

Swansea’s Daniel James is another who could come in to add to the front line but he has played primarily as a left-winger this season.

Elsewhere, Tielemans could be an excellent addition to the midfield after impressing hugely during his time at Leicester.

He scored three goals and provided four assists after going from Monaco in January and is said to be interesting a number of top teams.

Arsenal and Tottenham are said to be monitoring his situation but Schira says United have already made contact over a potential deal.

“#ManchesterUnited insist to sign Jadon #Sancho (yesterday new contacts between Borussia Dortmund),” he said on Twitter.

“#RedDevils are also interested in Philippe #Coutinho (with the arrival of Griezmann he can leave from Barcellona) and Youri #Tielemans. #transfers #MUFC #mutd.”
