Alex Hales became the second player to hit century this BBL but the Thunder star is ready to lead his side to another record hunt in Adelaide.
Hales powers epic Thunder derby win
Alex Hales has scored his first BBL ton.
In a battle of the BBL|10 centurions, the Thunder’s Alex Hales and Strikers’ Alex Carey are ready to go mano-a-mano with the Big Bash Finals on the line.
The Strikers are in sixth place right now but a win would put them within striking distance of a finals berth, while the Thunder need a win to book a place in the post-season.

The Strikers have won the toss and will bat first. The game starts at 4.05pm AEDT.
Centurion's face off in Big Bash shootout
Hales said the key to him posting another big innings on Sunday was to ensure he “started again”.
“I’ve got to make sure my mindset is that I’m on zero again. I don’t want to walk out there like I’m on 110,” he said.
“You have to assess the conditions, see if there’s anything that’s changed and build from scratch again.”
The Thunder can guarantee themselves a finals berth with one win in their next two matches, while two victories over the Strikers would almost certainly end Adelaide’s hopes of finishing in the top five.
"Adelaide are a very strong team so for sure we’ll be looking to win both of these games and hopefully dent their chances,” Hales said.
Hales believes he’s in the career-best form and the right frame of mind to nail a last chance England recall.
“This is definitely the best I have played, the peak of my career, 32 now. Feel like I know my game really well. I am just looking to impress whenever I get the chance,” said Hales.
