Jofra Archer had his wish granted on Wednesday when his great friend Chris Jordan presented him with his first Test cap on a washed-out day at Lord’s.

‘One of the first things you said to me after coming to England was that you wanted to play Test cricket for England,’ Jordan told Archer as he gave him his cap on the outfield.
The wash-out means Joe Denly is almost certain to retain his place, as England see a sixth bowler in Sam Curran unnecessary now.
The remaining days will be extended to 98 overs.
