Dereck Chisora lifts lid on Anthony Joshua’s training for Andy Ruiz Jr
Despite shedding a lot of muscle mass in preparation for his rematch with Andy Ruiz Jr, Anthony Joshua is still punching very hard, according to Dereck Chisora.
“Dereck is impressed with Joshua,” Chisora’s manager David Haye told the Daily Mail. “ He found him not just in great shape but having trimmed down to the lean muscle, which is what he needed to do if he is to keep out of danger by boxing Ruiz at long range.
“And although he’s taken off the over-muscle, he’s still punching damn hard as well as being quicker on his feet.”

Tyson Fury teases MMA fight
Lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has continued to tease a switch to the MMA world by training with UFC middleweight contender Darren Till.
The Scouser posted a post-training session picture of himself and ‘The Gypsy King’ at Team Kaobon in Liverpool to his Twitter and Instagram pages, a snap which was followed up a video of their pads session.
UFC president Dana White was impressed by what he saw, so much so he shared the video on his own Twitter and Instagram pages.
Gennady Golovkin update
Eddie Hearn has revealed he expects IBF middleweight champion Gennaday Golovkin to return to the ring in January or February against his mandatory challenger Kamil Szeremeta.
Hearn then expects the Kazakh to have a trilogy fight with Canelo Alvarez in May, but admitted the ball is in the newly-crowned WBO light-heavyweight champion’s corner.
He told ESPN: “A lot depends on Canelo’s thoughts, if he’s ready to take that fight in May.”
