Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather go head-to-head in an exhibition bout on Sky Sports Box Office on June 6 – but Eddie Hearn has again distanced himself from the boxing mismatch.
While Mayweather represents the most successful boxer in recent history, YouTuber Paul lost on his professional debut to KSI and remains a huge underdog despite his height advantage.
Despite dominating in a sparring battle with the four brothers of NFL superstar Rob Gronkowski earlier this week, he is expected to lack the quality to compete with the experienced Mayweather.
While Hearn has promoted the 26-year-old in the past, he has dismissed the upcoming fight as "dreadful" while reiterating that he has not played any part in the Fanmio organised meeting.
Speaking to IFLTV, Hearn said: “You can’t blame me for that one! Dreadful. Listen, people are going to watch it aren’t they, I did Logan Paul against KSI, but, yeah, I can’t go back.”
Hearn, who promoted Logan's professional debut against KSI back in 2019, then reiterated that he had no involvement with the boxing hopeful ahead of his return to the ring.
He added: “Yes but it was a fight between two Youtubers who couldn’t really fight. Now you’ve got a bloke who can’t fight against one of the greatest fighters of all time.
“I can’t go back on my word and what I’ve already said about the fight and change my mind because it’s on Pay-Per-View. I wasn’t involved with it, it’s got nothing to do with me, enjoy the show.”
Sky Sports have not yet revealed how much they will charge for the event, but Showtime US PPV have announced their own price of $49.99 – with Fanmio charging the same worldwide broadcast.
Showtime also announced that it will be an ‘eight-round special exhibition.’
Paul's first and so far only professional bout against KSI was also broadcast on Sky Sports Box Office, costing £9.95 for UK customers.
