YouTuber KSI has fired back at Jake Paul after the American social media star-turned boxer accused him of avoiding a boxing match.
KSI, real name Olajide Olatunji, and Paul have gone back and forth on social media for years, with their rivalry starting after Olatunji called out the Paul brothers following his victory over Joe Weller in 2018.
After KSI and Jake’s respective victories over each other’s siblings, they were expected to meet in a YouTube boxing mega-fight.
However, following the COVID-19 pandemic, negotiations for the clash fizzled out, and it seemed the pair’s rivalry did too. Paul instead would go on to face retired NBA player Nate Robinson and former UFC competitor Ben Askren.
However, days ago, the feud between the YouTube stars resumed after Paul called out KSI on Twitter for ducking a fight with him.
“KSI immediately jumping at the opportunity to fight Austin [McBroom],” Paul began.
“I guess ‘music tours’ and ‘COVID’ were only in the way of him fighting me.”

KSI responded to Paul’s tweet today, posting a short clip of Paul in 2018.
The video showed Paul responding to Olatunji’s initial callout, with the 3-0 professional boxer saying “Nope, I’m a p***y. I’m not boxing you KSI.
This new chapter in the Paul-KSI rivalry comes a week after the Social Gloves influencer boxing event. In the main-event, YouTuber Austin McBroom defeated TikTok star Bryce Hall via third-round knockout.
McBroom would go on to express his interest in facing KSI at some point down the line. Olatunji confirmed that he was keen on that fight as well, leaving fans to question why he was happy to fight McBroom, but unable to face Paul.
Paul is instead expected to face former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in an eight-round professional boxing match currently scheduled for August 28th.
The fight comes just months after Paul brutally knocked out Ben Askren in one round last April. Woodley is a long-time friend and training partner of Askren and clashed with members of Paul’s entourage backstage hours before the fight.
