SuperCoach Racing 2020: The Racing League ambassadors reveal their Round 2 stables

WA racing personality Brittany Taylor has made a flying start in SuperCoach Racing after her Black Hearts team scored an impressive 267 in the opening round.

She landed the Flight Stakes quinella with Montefilia and Hungry Heart and was close to another Group 1 winner with Mugatoo.

NRL legends Laurie Daley (NSW Tycoons) and Billy Slater (Qld Rogues) both picked up more than 200 points last weekend.

Laurie also selected Montefilia, while Billy was spot on in four races which included having Verry Elleegant in the Turnbull Stakes.

AFL champion Shane Crawford is confident he can claw his way back and has made a bold call with one of his selections.

Check out who The Racing League experts have picked for Round 2 in SuperCoach Racing.

Happy with last week’s score but we can always do better. Like any sportsman, you are always aiming and striving to be better the next week, so that’s my aim.

I have stick with Montefilia after she snuck under everyone’s guard last week, I was always confident the further the better with her.

Given the All Blacks are playing the weekend – although we don’t want to see them to well – I have to have Mo’unga. He’s been exciting in all his starts. He’s got a powerful burst at the end. He’s stepping up in company but I’m excited to see where he’s at.

Going with King’s Legacy because of the NSW v Victoria rivalry. The Snowdens are also great trainers. We want to make sure we win the Caulfield Guineas for NSW.

All roads lead to Russian Camelot and I’m making him my captain. Beware punters, I could give it the slows!

I had Hungry Heart last week, and I think a bit of rain and it seems like the Sydney three-year-olds have got a little bit on the Melbourne ones.

And I’m going with Mo’unga. He’s got an amazing finishing burst. I’m thinking he just might be a star and it all gets revealed on Saturday.

Love Tap is a grey flash, he could be the new Subzero. He’s very good over a distance.

Alligator Blood had a blowout last start, he would have had a bit of work since and be right for this.

I’ll be happy with three winners from Damien Oliver.

I was happy with last week’s score although I’m positioned third out of the four states. I thought I did well last week but obviously the other teams are very competitive and doing a lot of homework. It was a good week all around.

I think King’s Legacy can win the Caulfield Guineas. Third run back, this would have been the target for Peter and Paul Snowden. It’s a stallion-making race, he’s got two Group 1s as a two-year-old and this would be the cherry on top. His sire won this race and his connections would be looking at this as the big prize.

In the Thousand Guineas, Hungey Heart has had her foot on the till the last three starts. She’s ready to win a big race. And I think Odeum can run a cheeky race at nice odds, she was quite impressive last start at this track.

Buffalo River is going to carry no weight in the Toorak Handicap and I’m pretty sure he was three-wide last start. He’s drawn barrier five and Craig Williams on board, I really like him.

Hopefully the Round 1 Super Coach results are indicative of the future leaderboard for The Racing League! I’m determined to beat these boys!

Same strategy as last week (if it’s not broke, don’t fix it hey?) focusing on the smaller Group 1 fields. I’m most looking forward to seeing Russian Camelot on the weekend. To think a year ago almost to the day, he debuted. Here he is chasing his third Group 1. He’s a star.

Really pleased to see William Pike get the ride on Ole Kirk in the Caulfield Guineas. You can’t run home much quicker than he did last start in the Golden Rose.

Some of my team from last week are on the quick backup but I’ve made some changes. Hungry Heart was good to us on the weekend with the points for her second placing but she’s been dropped from the team this week with a few unknowns – the one-week backup, the travel to Melbourne and first time at Caulfield.
