Ex-MLB player Aubrey Huff teaching sons to use guns in case Bernie Sanders becomes president

Former Major League Baseball player Aubrey Huff caused an uproar Tuesday, tweeting that he was training his sons to use guns in the "unlikely event" that Bernie Sanders becomes president, along with picture of a gun range target.

"Knowing how to effectively use a gun under socialism will be a must," Huff wrote, tagging the National Rifle Association in the tweet.

Huff, 42, played 13 big-league seasons and was part of the 2010 and 2012 San Francisco Giants teams that won the World Series.

Huff would go on to explain that he was training the kids in case there were "crazy people rioting and trying to break into my house for food or shelter."

A handful of celebrities jumped in to chide Huff, including Patricia Arquette, Tom Arnold and Kathy Griffin.

Getting my boys trained up on how to use a gun in the unlikely event @BernieSanders beats @realDonaldTrump in 2020. In which case knowing how to effectively use a gun under socialism will be a must. By the way most the head shots were theirs. @[email protected]#2ndAmendmentpic.twitter.com/6xUsS7ciX3

It was quite a week online for Huff, who in previous days had ranted about divorce laws and alimony payments.

"No way women who have never threw a touchdown pass, hit a game winning 3, or hit a 2-0 slider deserve half of a mans hard earned money just for having his babies," he wrote Sunday.

Divorce rates amongst athletes will continue to rise until the justice system is rightfully fixed. No way women who have never threw a touchdown pass, hit a game winning 3, or hit a 2-0 slider deserve half of a mans hard earned money just for having his babies. 🤬 @RationalMalehttps://t.co/1OliQRZLQA

In another tweet Sunday, Huff wrote that "marriage has become a (business)" for women looking to get rich.

"I believe n marriage the way it was in the old days when women had pride n being a stay at home mom & making sure her man is satisfied providing for the family. Marriage has become a biz 4 women looking 2 get rich off a successful man,"
