The Twins have hired Rocco Baldelli as their next manager, the team announced.
He will be introduced at a news conference Thursday afternoon.

Baldelli, 37, has served as the Rays’ major league field coordinator the last two seasons. He previously was Tampa Bay’s first base coach and worked in the team’s scouting department.
He spent seven years in MLB as a player including six seasons in Tampa Bay and one in Boston, hitting .278 with 60 home runs, 262 RBIs and 60 stolen bases in 519 career games.
