Conor McGregor made quite the impression in Liverpool when he rocked up at the Grand National two years ago.
Arriving at Aintree in a £200,000 Rolls Royce with his loud shirt open to expose his gorilla tattoo, he paid little heed to the dress code.
But that was just the start of a three-day party four months before McGregor took on Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas.
The former UFC champion touched down in Liverpool in a private het around midday on the day of the race.
He and his entourage took three Rolls from John Lennon airport to the Hilton hotel before spending the day at one of the biggest race days in the calendar.
McGregor watched as One For Arthur romped home in the feature event before he headed for Mansion nightclub later that night.
He joined 1,000 revellers at the Grand National after party just before midnight and later took to the decks to DJ.
The club’s promoter Michael Ellis said: "We’ve had lots of celebrities at the club but this has to be the biggest event we’ve ever been a part of in the six years we’ve been open. It’s been on another level.
"The reaction he gets is ridiculous, wherever he goes it’s madness. At the airport, as soon as he touched on our soil, people were hanging out of the windows trying to see him.
"Even driving to the Hilton there were cars pulling up alongside us and slamming on their brakes in traffic to try and look in the windows, and bouncing the kerb outside the hotel just to see him."
It was later that night that McGregor is alleged to have met Terri Murray who now claims the Irishman is the father of her child.
She told the Daily Mirror that they slept together later that night but McGregor insists she slept with his friend.
McGregor spent the following day relaxing at his hotel before heading to Empire nightclub in the city for a private function at 11.30pm.
This time he was more subtly dressed, wearing a white t-shirt and jeans as his fans hailed his arrival.
But his night was far from quiet as word spread that he bounced around from house party to house party in the Huyton area of Liverpool.
McGregor later posted a picture of himself standing on the bonnet of a Rolls Royce with the caption, "Liverpool we run your entire city".
The photo angered the company who had leased the car to McGregor who were said to be considering legal action.
Ms. Murray claims she then slept with McGregor on the Monday, by which time she knew his partner Dee Devlin was pregnant.
The 26-year-old is a mum to one-year-old Clodagh and wants McGregor to take a DNA test.
She said: “I’ve said to Conor ‘Hiya’ and he has gone ‘I’ve been waiting for you’, and I’ve gone ‘Conor, I never got an acceptable picture with you before, can I get a picture with you?’
"And he put his arm round with me and walked me into the (bed) room.
"In the room was an ensuite bathroom and he’s gone ‘Baby, I’ll give you a home movie never mind a picture’."
McGregor is expected to return to the UFC in the summer having been handed a six-month ban by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for his part in the brawl that followed his defeat by Khabib Nurmagomedov last October.
