Ben Simmons’ incredible NBA explosion

Ben Simmons had an absolute monster of a first half for Philadelphia as the 76ers took on Indiana, dominating on the scoreboard and at the defensive end.

The Sixers went to halftime with a 49-40 lead over the Pacers — an advantage that was largely due to Simmons.

Midway through the game the Aussie NBA star boasted a whopping 20 points, nine rebounds and three assists as he went nine-from-11 shooting from the field.

He threw in a steal for good measure that led to a spectacular breakaway dunk to cap off the half.

It’s only the second time in his career Simmons has dropped 20 points in a half and making it even more impressive, nobody else on the floor managed more than nine points in the same time frame.

The next best for Philly was Tobias Harris, who had seven points to go with seven rebounds.

Pacers just absolutely torched by Ben Simmons' athleticism here in the 1st half. They trail 49-40.

Simmons with a game-high 20 pts on 9-for-11 shooting.

No Pacers in double-figures. Justin Holiday leads them with 9 pts, all beyond the arc (perfect 3-for-3 there)

Ben Simmons — and I really can’t stress this enough — is elite.

More to come …
