Dak Prescott dubbed ‘worse than Carson Wentz’ after phantom throw for Cowboys

Dak Prescott has been blasted by NFL fans after his performance in the first half for the Dallas Cowboys against the Chicago Bears.

And for one particular play, some fans have compared him to struggling Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz.

Prescott attempted to throw the ball to running back Jamize Olawale but it landed behind him as he sprinted on what was a critical third down.

Elsewhere the Cowboys QB did not gave a good night of it in the first-half and ended it with a rating of just 59.5.

After leading 7-0 early on when running back Ezekiel Elliott punched home for a touchdown, the Cowboys capitulated and the Bears took over to lead 17-7 at the half.

Prescott has had a good season for the Cowboys but the team are in danger of missing out on the play-offs.

Going into the game at Chicago they had a 6-6 record in the NFL but amazingly still led the NFC East by one game over the Eagles.

Philadelphia have also struggled this season and suffered their biggest low of the season last time out when the lost to the 2-9 Miami Dolphins.

Quarterback Wentz has struggled for form in recent weeks and this led some fans comparing Prescott to his rival on social media.

“Let's not throw to people who aren't looking. That'd be a good game plan Dak,” said one fan.

“Dak Prescott’s throw on 3rd down to a receiver who isn’t paying attention has to be one of the cowboys best play this year,” wrote another.

While one fan wrote: “Wow, if he keeps plays like this up I will take Wentz please and that is saying something!”

“Not sure if I’m watching Dak Prescott or carson wentz,” said another fan.

While another wrote: “Dak Prescott is worse than Carson Wentz, there i’ve said it.”
