Ray Allen challenges LeBron James, other ‘bald brothers’ to show off hairlines while social distancing

As people around the nation miss their hairstylists and barbers due to the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent social distancingNBA three-point king and Hall of Famer Ray Allen reminded his Instagram followers that they're not alone.

On Tuesday, Allen posted a photo of his self-titled "Jefferson" hairline, a reference to the famously-bald character George Jefferson's on the 1970's sitcom "The Jeffersons."

At the end of his message, Allen, who retired in 2014 after a 19-year career, tagged NBA luminaries, including Shaquille O'Neal, LeBron James, and Richard Hamilton and challenged them to carry on the "Jefferson" challenge.

"I nominate all my bald or going bald brothers to let it grow out, ya'll know who you are!" he said in the post.

Allen, whose head was shaved for most of his playing career, explained that until now he has trimmed his own hair for his entire adult life. But in light of the current stay-at-home orders across the country, Allen is embracing his natural three-point-line-shaped edge-up.

In his post, Allen promised to keep the hairline intact "until the 'Rona' kicks rocks!"
