Warriors’ Curry (knee) exits in 2nd half; MRI next

SAN FRANCISCO — Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry left Saturday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks at the end of the third quarter after suffering an apparent left knee injury.

Curry sustained the injury with 2:01 left in the third after his left knee collided with Dallas’ McKinley Wright’s knee while Curry was defending him.

X-rays came back negative, the team said, but he did not return to the game. Curry will undergo an MRI as his next step.

The star guard finished his night with 21 points in 7-of-11 shooting and seven assists.

Two nights prior, Curry banged that same knee in the second half of Golden State’s game against the Denver Nuggets.

Earlier this season, Curry missed 11 games due to a left shoulder subluxation. During that time, the Warriors went 6-5.
