Cooper Kupp injury update: Rams WR has ‘good chance’ to return vs. Saints

The Rams have seemingly endless talent at wide receiver this season, and they may get a boost next week against the Saints with Cooper Kupp expected back.

Los Angeles coach Sean McVay said Monday that Kupp has a “good chance” to play next week against New Orleans as the best two teams in the NFC face off in an important battle.

FYI: Per #Rams Sean McVay good chance Cooper Kupp will play Sunday against #Saints. Also, dialogue going on regarding potential edge rush help via a trade. Deadline is tomorrow at 1 pm Cali time

Kupp has missed the last two-plus games with a knee injury. He had 30 receptions for 438 yards and five touchdowns before missing time. The Rams also have Robert Woods and Brandin Cooks, but it’s been Kupp’s replacement, Josh Reynolds, who’s impressed recently.

Reynolds had two touchdowns this week in a 29-27 win over the Packers, and he may have earned more playing time even when Kupp returns.

If Kupp is healthy, he’s a virtual lock to remain heavily involved in the Rams’ offense serving as quarterback Jared Goff’s preferred slot weapon and red zone threat from the wide receiver position.
