The Eagles saw their wings clipped in 2020. They went from 9-7 division winners to a 4-11-1 last-place team. The results cost coach Doug Pederson his job, only three seasons removed from leading Philadelphia to a Super Bowl ring.
Pederson was fired, but before then, Carson Wentz, since traded to the Colts, was demoted as the starting quarterback in favor of second-round rookie Jalen Hurts. Hurts will now collaborate with a new offensive-minded head coach, Nick Sirianni.
The Eagles are hoping better overall health and some youth will serve them much better this season. Here is a complete breakdown of the Eagles’ 2021 schedule, including dates, start times and analysis for all 17 games.

Philadelphia Eagles’ schedule 2021
The Eagles’ schedule will be released as part of the NFL’s schedule release on Wednesday, May 12 at 8 p.m. ET. These are the teams that they are currently scheduled to play during the 2021 NFL season.
Here is the Philadelphia Eagles’ complete schedule for 2021.
Home: Cowboys, Giants, Washington, Chiefs, Chargers, Saints, 49ers, Buccaneers
Away: Cowboys, Giants, Washington, Falcons, Panthers, Broncos, Lions, Raiders, Jets
The Eagles get their usual six games against all the teams that finished ahead of them in the division: the Cowboys, Giants and Washington. Then they get eight more games against the teams from the NFC South and AFC West.
Philadelphia is helped by a last-place schedule. Those extra NFC opponents after Atlanta are pushover Detroit and anomalous San Francisco. The AFC East’s Jets are the 17th-game opponents of the same standing.
Eagles strength of schedule
The Eagles on paper have the easiest schedule in the NFL. Their 2021 opponents went only a combined 115-140-1, for an awful winning percentage of .451.
Washington represents two of Philadelphia’s returning playoff-caliber opponents. Kansas City, New Orleans and Tampa Bay are the only other such teams on the schedule.
Toughest tests: The Eagles get those games against the Chiefs, Saints and Buccaneers in Philadelphia — and don’t forget about San Francisco, too. The division games will be tougher overall. The hardest road games are against the Panthers and Broncos.
Biggest breaks: Carolina and Denver aren’t too bad for top road games, especially when Detroit, Las Vegas, Atlanta and the Jets also are away opponents. The Eagles need to maximize chances against the Giants and Washington, too.
Bottom line: The Eagles are a difficult team to gauge as they undergo wholesale philosophical change locked into a new starting QB. They also are trying to replenish key offensive and defensive talent to accelerate an overdue rebuild. A lot of their success depends on whether Hurts breaks out and what Sirianni’s level of early influence will be.
Record prediction: 6-11
