One of the most important college football games this week doesn’t involve a College Football Playoff-contending team.

No. 13 Auburn has nothing to lose in its annual game with No. 5 Georgia in the “Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry,” and it’s worth seeing what kind of game Gus Malzahn and Co. will throw at the Bulldogs. Of course, if Georgia loses, it will be eliminated from Playoff contention. That said, all the pressure seems to be on Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs.

That’s the backdrop of this game that could make waves throughout college football, depending on the outcome.
