Week 8 Fantasy PPR Rankings: RB

How are you supposed to put together Week 8 PPR rankings for running backs when every RB is injured? OK, maybe a few backs are healthy, but not many. LeSean McCoy, Sony Michel, Matt Breida, Peyton Barber, Dalvin Cook, Royce Freeman, Bilal Powell,  Chris Thompson, Theo Riddick, Giovani Bernard — come on, that’s just silly. And that’s not even counting Le’Veon Bell, Marshawn Lynch, and Leonard Fournette, who we know are out, and Ezekiel Elliott, Melvin Gordon, Austin Ekeler, Derrick Henry, Dion Lewis, Tevin Coleman, and Ito Smith, who are on bye. Sometimes making fantasy start ’em, sit ’em decisions isn’t fun.

Of course, when that many key backs are out or “questionable”, that means there are opportunities for backups, some of whom are available on the waiver wire. Whether it’s Raheem Mostert, Ronald Jones II, Kenjon Barner, Chris Ivory, or higher-risk PPR specialists like Jacquizz Rodgers, Jalen Richard, and Kapri Bibbs, there will be players to help you fill out your lineups — whether you like them or not.

Week 8 Standard Rankings:
Quarterback | Running Back | Wide Receiver | Tight End | D/ST | Kicker

As you can see below, we have some of the banged-up backs in our rankings and some out (Michel, Breida, Barber). Obviously, these rankings won’t stay the same all week, so consider this a preliminary, work-in-progress blueprint. Plenty of changes will take place between now and 9:30 a.m. ET when the Jaguars and Eagles kick off in the UK.
