NRLW Barbie?
Memo to Margot Robbie. You forgot to include an NRL Barbie in your blockbuster movie. We get it… you’re busy. Sydney Roosters centre Isabelle Kelly has delivered a bold reminder in case you’re planning a sequel.

Kelly is wearing a pink strapless gown from Lia Stubbla with matching opera gloves. The bright yellow Olga Berg clutch is a better partner than Ken.
Kelly’s stylist Livia Sharp was a last-minute recruit to dress a teams’ worth of players.
“My clients are mostly NRLW players, who I absolutely love working with as it’s fun to get them glammed up for their big night celebrating a year of hard work on the pitch,” Sharp says.
Red carpet is under way
It’s fair to expect skirt slits to rival Angelina Jolie’s 2012 Oscars dress and enough sheer paneling to provide fly screens for Buckingham Palace on the Dally M red carpet.
Congratulations to Brittney Wicks for breaking the mould in a white, pearl-encrusted mini-dress with ostrich feathers from Sydney dressmaker Amanda Tasevski.

It’s a dress that says party rather than princess (or both if you’re from the Monaco royal family).
Stylist Donny Galella guided Wicks towards the gown alternative and also helped her Canberra Raiders’ husband Jarrod Croker into his green velvet jacket from MJ Bale.
The 2023 NRL leaderboard
As I said before, the voting goes behind closed doors at about the halfway point of the season, so the Dally M Medal winners tonight are a surprise.
If you think about NRL superstars you might think Nathan Cleary and Reece Walsh, but both are basically out of the running.

Walsh is out because of that little three-match bad behaviour ban he copped in the middle of the season, while Cleary was out for six weeks with that hamstring injury – it doesn’t mean it’s impossible for him to get it…but it’s pretty hard.
Here is where the leaderboard was at after round 12:
30 points: Payne Haas (Broncos)
27 points: Nathan Cleary (Panthers)
25 points: Harry Grant (Storm)
25 points: Nicho Hynes (Sharks)
24 points: Reece Walsh (Broncos)
23 points: Latrell Mitchell (Rabbitohs)
22 points: Ben Hunt (Dragons)
22 points: Cody Walker (Rabbitohs)
22 points: Dylan Edwards (Panthers)
22 points: Shaun Johnson (Warriors)

What are the Dally M awards?
Described by the NRL as “a magical night on the National Rugby League calendar”, the Dally M awards celebrate the outstanding players of the season.
The award is named after Herbert ‘Dally’ Messenger – one of the greatest players of the game.
The biggest award of the night is the Dally M Medal, which is awarded to the best NRL and NRLW player of the year.
The medal works on a 3-2-1 voting system from two independent judges each game (the best players gets three points, second best two points etc) and at the end of the year the player with the most points wins.

A couple of things you should know:
Welcome
Good evening footy enthusiasts and welcome to our live coverage of the NRL’s night of nights.
I’m of course talking about the Dally M awards, the night when we find out which NRL and NRLW players have been voted the best of the best.
Red carpet is from 7:30pm, and don’t worry, if you’re not typically the fashion enthusiast, style editor Damien Woolnough is going to talk us through some of the fits and fashion of the night.
The awards get under way at 8pm, but let’s get cracking!
