Marko Grujic has suggested that Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian may not play for the club again after the Spaniard shipped seven goals in the heavy defeat to Aston Villa on Sunday.
With the Reds' No.1 'keeper Alisson missing out through injury, Adrian deputised for the Brazilian, but got off to a horror start after his misplaced pass allowed Jack Grealish to set up Ollie Watkins to open the scoring.
This seemed to rock Liverpool's confidence, and Watkins completed a hat-trick, Grealish scored two and John McGinn and Ross Barkley also got on the scoresheet in the shock 7-2 thumping.
Grujic made a loan move to Porto on deadline day, and clearly had no issues about speaking out about Adrian on social media.
In reference to Fantasy Football, Grujic responded to a post about Watkins on Instagram by saying: "The first couple of games the man is nowhere to be found, I impatiently decided to move him (out of my team) in Fantasy… the rest is history."
He then added: "Probably also ended Adrian's career at LFC," along with a sly face emoji.
It remains to be seen if Adrian is in Jurgen Klopp's starting line-up again when the Reds take on bitter rivals Everton after the international break on October 17, with Liverpool having completed the signing of 17-year-old goalkeeper Marcelo Pitaluga on Thursday.
It is not yet clear exactly how long Alisson will be out for, but his loss comes as a big blow considering his status as one of the best keepers in the world.
Grujic, meanwhile, will spend the rest of the season on loan in Portugal, and looks unlikely to have a future at Liverpool, with the player having been shipped out on loan for at least part of the last three season in a row.
