Arsenal star Alexandre Lacazette appears to have his sights set on the upcoming Premier League season despite rumours suggesting he is moving away from the Emirates. Lacazette has been linked with a transfer to Atletico Madrid and Lyon but talks with the Spanish giants have stalled whereas the Ligue 1 side has rejected a potential deal.
The striker didn’t look like a player ready to leave this morning as he took part in a photoshoot in which he donned the Gunners’ new shirt and posed with a big smile on his face.
The France international then took to Twitter where he tweeted the following: “Season 20/21 lets gooo.”
Lacazette proved to be integral for Arsenal last season as he amassed a total of 12 goals and seven assists in 39 appearances across all competitions.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang contract: Arsenal hero explains why Arteta can’t lose star man
“I’m really happy with him. I really like Alex, I said that even before I joined here that he is the type of striker that I really like.
“I think he had periods where he was very unlucky because he was having the chances and not converting them which he is not used to.
“But the way he can link play, he’s a massive competitor he hates to lose. He goes for every ball, you see in every challenge how he’s ready to go.
“He works really hard and he’s a very intelligent player, I am really happy with him.”
Lacazette, though, is set for some intense competition for a position in Arsenal’s frontline as star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has reportedly agreed to a new contract.
Aubameyang, whose future has dominated the headlines these past 12 months, appears to have extended his stay in north London for another three years following some impeccable displays for the Gunners.
The Gabon international has scored a staggering total of 71 goals in 110 appearances across all competitions ever since his arrival in 2018.
