Arsenal ace Matteo Guendouzi has hinted he wants to stay at the Emirates and prove himself to manager Mikel Arteta. Guendouzi joined the Gunners from League 2 minnows Lorient in 2018 and has since impressed with his performances in midfield.
However, the Frenchman has fallen out of favour following an angry bust-up with Brighton players in June when he bragged about his salary.
The 21-year-old has since been dropped by Arteta after showdown talks about his attitude and missed Arsenal’s FA Cup triumph over Chelsea.
Guendouzi has been spending the international break playing for France’s Under-21 side but his mind appears to still be focused at the Emirates.
The midfielder hinted that he wants to stay at Arsenal and show Arteta he still has what it takes to help the club realise its goals ahead of the upcoming season.

Guendouzi posted on Instagram: “2 games, 6 points ! Proud of my team @equipedefrance. Now let’s go back to work @arsenal.”
The France Under-21 international has recorded a total of 1 goal and five assists in 82 appearances across all competitions.
Arteta doesn’t appear to have made up his mind completely regarding Guendouzi’s future as he previously hinted that the player could be handed a clean slate.
The Arsenal boss said: “I’ve been really clear that everybody starts from zero.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp urged to resolve ‘big problem’ in squad amid Thiago interest
“What you did two weeks ago or two years ago, doesn’t really matter. It’s what you are able to contribute to the team now.
“Everybody is going to have the same opportunities. They have to show with their performance their attitude that they are better than their teammates or somehow contributing with what we want to achieve this season.
“Yes…I’ve told him [Guendouzi] exactly that. That he’ll be part of the team and at the moment he’s like any other player in our squad.
“He deserves to be treated exactly the same and I will do that to my best capability.”
Arsenal are getting ready for Saturday’s Premier League opener against Fulham at Craven Cottage (12.30pm).
The north Londoners’ campaign kicked off on the right foot with an impressive victory over last season’s Premier League champions Liverpool in the Community Shield.
Arteta has hit the summer transfer window hard with the acquisition of former Chelsea star Willian as well Gabriel Magalhaes, who was linked with some of Europe’s top bidders.
Arsenal are now keeping tabs on Atletico Madrid star midfielder Thomas Partey and reports suggested they would be willing to swap Guendouzi for the Ghana international.
