Arsenal are reportedly implementing a three-year financial plan to help them land Dominik Szoboszlai.
The RB Salzburg forward is one of the hottest properties in world football right now and the Gunners are said to be leading the race for his signature.
However, Salzburg are insistent that his £22.5million release clause is met in full.
Arsenal are reportedly confident of landing the Hungarian international with Mikel Arteta a big fan of the 20-year-old.
But in order to get the deal over the line, the Mirror claim that Arsenal would need to pay the release clause in three different installments.
These payments are believed to be one per year for the next three years.
Szoboszlai was this weekend announced as one of the top 10 players in the running for the Golden Boy award this year, which was won by Erling Haaland.
He has racked up 22 goals in 74 appearances for Salzburg, already playing a part in three league title campaigns and winning Austrian Bundesliga Player of the Season last campaign.
Szoboszlai has been hailed by his current Salzburg boss Jesse Marsch.
He told the Futbol with Grant Wahl podcast: "He’s an incredible talent, and I say this: When you coach young players, you have to love them and love the fact that they’re going to move on and love that they’re going to have big opportunities to prove themselves and show how good they are.
"If you’re only worried about how it affects your success, then you’re not really going to ever be effective at coaching and leading young people.
"So with a guy like Dominik, I mean, I want him to show everyone in the world how good he is.
"So let’s see what happens, but I would be surprised if he winds up staying past winter. We play with teenagers, and of course when they do well a lot of clubs get really excited."
