Arsenal have offered Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang a huge wage increase which will see him cement his status as one of the best-paid players in the Premier League, according to The Daily Mail. Aubameyang will reportedly put pen to paper on a deal worth up to £300,000-per-week, ending speculation linking him with a move away from the Emirates.
Aubameyang’s contract situation has been hanging over Arsenal all summer, but it now appears to be reaching a conclusion.
Arsenal have been confident of securing his long-term future for some time now, and have been in talks with him since the FA Cup final over an extension.
The club captain’s deal expires next summer, but it seems he is set to ink a new three-year deal keeping him at The Emirates until 2023.
The Mail claims his contract will be worth a base of £250,000-per-week, but will include clauses and bonuses taking it to near to £300,000-per-week.

The German playmaker rakes in £350,000-per-week, but looks set to leave next summer at the end of his contract.
Arsenal have been active in the transfer market so far this summer, after bringing in Gabriel Magalhaes for £23million and Willian on free.
They are poised to continue spending in order to build Mikel Arteta’s ideal side, and are ready to sell Emiliano Martinez and replace him with Brentford’s David Raya.

They are also set to enter into a bidding war with Manchester City for Houssem Aouar, with Thomas Partey of Atletico Madrid also a target.
BT Sport pundit Ian Darke believes that with Aubameyang staying, the Gunners will only need a couple of signings before they will be challenging for the top four.
Speaking to ESPN FC, he explained that Arteta’s style of play is starting to come through at the club, and that they need to get some consistency before they can start to challenge properly.
“I’ve got them finishing fourth,” Darke told ESPN FC.

“I think Arteta’s changed the mentality of that club completely.
“I think you’ve seen it three times now, every time at Wembley in the FA Cup semi-final, the FA Cup final and then the Community Shield against good opposition, I think they’re a different side now.
“I think they do have that capability to go out every week and be pretty consistent as well if they can keep everybody fit.
“They might need to add one or two more between now and October 5 but I can see Arsenal maybe being the surprise team and making the top four ahead of slightly more-fancied rivals [Chelsea].”
