Atletico Madrid are considering a loan move for a right back following Kieran Trippier’s suspension – with Ainsley Maitland-Niles emerging as a target.
The La Liga club will be without Trippier for 10 weeks – a total of 13 games – after he was slapped with a worldwide ban on Thursday for breaching FA betting regulations.
Atletico, who are top of the Spanish top-flight, are looking at reinforcements to offset the immediate loss of Trippier, with Arsenal star Maitland-Niles emerging as a strong candidate.
