Barcelona star Sergino Dest had his USA team-mates go ballistic at him after he was handed two yellow cards in the space of 30 seconds during international duty.
The 23-year-old started for his country in their 2-1 defeat to Trinidad and Tobago in the CONCACAF Nations League quarter-final. Dest lost his temper in the 39th minute when he believed he kept the ball in play but the referee awarded a throw-in to the opposition.
The defender booted the ball away in retaliation before shouting at the official while covering his mouth which handed him his first yellow card. Despite the efforts of US team-mate Gio Reyna to hold back Dest, he continued to shout at the ref who showed him a second yellow, giving him his marching orders.

The US international faced the wrath of his team-mates after sarcastically blowing a kiss to the referee as Fulham's Tim Ream bellowed at the 23-year-old while Nottingham Forest's Matt Turner had a few words to say to Dest as he walked behind the US goal on his way off the pitch.
The US had been leading 1-0 at the time of the right-back's sending off but ended up losing 2-1 but they still advance to the Nations League semi-final, after winning the first leg 3-0. Ream, 36, slammed his team-mate after the game admitting he had private words to say to Dest.

"Not too many things I can say here publicly that we said privately," the centre back said. "It's a complete lack of respect for the guys that are playing, for the guys that are on the bench. It´s a lack of respect for the game itself, for the referees."
While Dest will be suspended for the Nations League semi-final in March 2024, he took to Instagram to apologise for his actions. "I want to apologise to my Teammates, Staff, Fans and whole nation for my behaviour it was unacceptable, Selfish and immature I let my team down!" he wrote.

"It's something I have to learn from and it won't happen again!" Dest signed for Barcelona in an £18million deal from Ajax in 2020 but has failed to establish himself in the first-team as the La Liga giants have sent him out on loan for the past two seasons as he's since returned to the Eredivisie with PSV this season.
