Barcelona will hold a meeting with Antoine Griezmann later this month, according to reports. With the La Liga giants scrambling to free up funds for Lionel Messi’s new contract, the France international could be sold. And Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City are all admirers.
Barcelona thought they’d struck gold when they snapped up Griezmann from Atletico Madrid two years ago.
Having come close to signing the France international in 2018, they then spent £107million on bringing him to the Nou Camp.
But while Griezmann has shown glimpses of his best form, he’s failed to achieve the consistency the club would have liked.
A good return of 20 goals and 13 assists last term shows he’s got what it takes to kick on and get better but, with Messi’s new contract the priority, talk of a move away is starting to gather momentum.
And Sport say the 30-year-old will hold talks with the club when he returns to training on July 20.

Griezmann, as things stand, hasn’t been told about Barcelona’s intentions.
But the situation will become a lot clearer when he returns to Catalonia, with the player currently enjoying some well-deserved time off.
Griezmann was part of the France squad at Euro 2020, with Didier Deschamps’ side crashing out of the tournament in the round of 16 at the hands of Switzerland.
And while Barcelona would normally keep him, their current financial circumstances mean they’re now leaning towards cashing in instead.
PSG and Atletico are both interested in securing his signature but, after years of speculation, a move to the Premier League may now be on the cards instead.

Chelsea are on the lookout for a new striker, with Thomas Tuchel primed to offload both Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham.
Giroud is set to join AC Milan, with the 34-year-old determined to secure regular football.
And Abraham has been strongly linked with a move to West Ham, though Chelsea may have to lower their £40m asking price for a deal to take place.
Chelsea’s priority, at the current moment in time, is Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.
But with the Bundesliga giants adamant the 20-year-old won’t be sold this summer, Griezmann would be a good alternative.
Manchester United have long admired the France international, with interest dating back to Jose Mourinho’s time in charge.
They were willing to meet the player’s £84m buyout clause in 2017, only for the forward to stay at Atletico instead.
And United could be about to reignite their interest, according to the publication.
Manchester City are eager to recruit Harry Kane from Tottenham, despite the huge finances any deal would involve.
Yet with Pep Guardiola bemoaning the prices of strikers around the glove, it’s possible they’ll go for Griezmann instead.
Speaking last month, Griezmann admitted he’d like to play in the MLS one day.
“My contract with Barcelona is until June of 2024 and after that I think it will be the right time to go to the United States,” he said.
“I love the country, the culture, the NBA and the desire to discover new things draws me there.
“I’d love to finish my career there.”
