Munich was hit by a massive snow storm which saw Bayern Munich’s home game against Union Berlin postponed and the Allianz Arena looking like Mount Everest.
Heavy snowfall in Munich has left Harry Kane and co. forced to watch Bayer Leverkusen potentially open up a five point gap at the top of the Bundesliga should they beat Borussia Dortmund at home on Sunday.
Flights in and out of Munich have been suspended after freezing temperatures and heavy snow across southern Germany caused chaos with temperatures said to reach as low as -9 degrees on Saturday night.

The level of carnage couldn’t have been better shown by the state of Bayern’s Allianz Arena home as its unique design saw workers scale the side of the stands to brush the snow from between the gaps of the curved designed outside – making one brave man look like a mountain climber scaling the Himalayas.
Bayern’s game against Union Berlin which was scheduled to take place on Saturday afternoon fell victim to the weather as well as games up and down England and Scotland. Including Alfreton Town’s FA Cup clash against Walsall which was called off due to a frozen pitch just five minutes before kick-off.

Kane has missed out on the chance to extend his incredible start to life at Bayern this weekend with him already scoring 18 Bundesliga goals in just 12 games – including three hat-tricks. The England star would’ve been licking his lips with Union bottom of the league despite finishing 4th last season and playing in the Champions League this campaign.
Safety risks and traffic situations were cited as the reason for the game to be called off, while buses and trains have been cancelled with roads and motorways closed. The underground line linking the Allianz Arena has all been suspended. Munich police have even urged people not to leave their homes.
