EA has removed it’s previous FIFA games from sale on Steam, Epic and other digital storefronts without warning ahead of the release of EA SPORTS FC 24.
The game FIFA has been a massive success since its inception in 1993 and been enjoyed by millions around the world.
However, EA announced in May 2022 that it was officially ending its near three-decade long video-gaming partnership with world football governing body FIFA.
The company has since rebranded the game to EA SPORT FC 24 and is set to be available to play from Friday, though it has been in early access since last week.
As part of their rebrand, EA have removed trace of their previous FIFA games from the digital stores on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo.

It’s not known why EA have taken this action but there have been indications that licensing issue could be at fault.
However, it will not be difficult to find disk copies if players want to play last year’s FIFA 23 or even previous ones.
Meanwhile, the FIFA name is likely to feature in other games in the future following a promise by FIFA president Gianni Infantino.
‘I can assure you that the only authentic, real game that has the FIFA name will be the best one available for gamers and football fans,’ he said last year.
