Brighton youngster Jack Hinshelwood looked to be wearing the smallest shin pads anyone will find in football.
Arsenal managed to avenge their title challenge ending loss to Roberto Di Zerbi's side last season with an emphatic 2-0 victory over the Seagulls. Hinshelwood, 18, was deployed against the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium.
Due to the fact he is only just old enough to buy himself a pint, Hinshelwood has grown up in a time where football boots all kit from boots to football kit has been rather different. However, his youthful age was also evident in the ridiculously tiny pair of shin pads he was wearing.

In the second half, one of the youngster's shin pads came out of his socks after a fifty-fifty challenge. When referee Tim Robinson picked it up, he almost looked confused as to what it was.
After realising it was a shin pad which was only just about bigger than one of his ears, he immediately passed it on to Pascal Gross to give to the teenager. When the youngster slid it back beneath his sock, football fans came out in their numbers to express their shock at his bitesize set of shin pads.

One fan said: "Jack Hinshelwood using his AirPods as shin pads against Arsenal today." A second added: "Jack Hinshelwood still wearing his U8s shin pads I see.
A third wrote: "Jack Hinshelwood has mistakenly packed a prawn cracker in his kit bag rather than a shin pad," before a fourth tweeted: "Bring back proper shin pads, proper binmen and proper winters."
Many football fans would agree that there is almost no point wearing the shin pad it is that small. However, 4.2 of the laws of the game state all players must wear shin pads when they come onto the pitch.
The rule officially stated: "Shinguards – these must be made of a suitable material to provide reasonable protection and covered by the socks".
