Jadon Sancho is set to complete his £73million move to Manchester United in the coming days, and he is undergoing his medical in Carrington today, however, he may not be able to wear his usual number.
Sancho has spent the last six weeks with the England squad, and under Gareth Southgate, the Three Lions reached the final of Euro 2020.
However, Southgate's men suffered the familiar heartbreak of penalties, and Sancho was one of the three English players to miss his penalty during the shoot-out.
And, a change of scenery may help banish his penalty demons, but he may be without his usual number seven.
Currently, Edinson Cavani wears Sancho's preferred number, however, Cavani has spoken about his desire to move back to South America, and with his contract up next summer, Sancho may only be able to take it next summer.
At the moment: 12, 16, 24, 25, 30 and 32, are all available, and Sancho could opt for the unorthodox no.77 for a year.
However, high numbers are seldom seen in the Premier League, and United may refuse the proposal.
Cavani could vacate the number for Sancho – just as Anthony Martial did when Zlatan Ibrahimovic joined back in 2016.

The Red Devils open their Premier League campaign at home to their old rivals Leeds United, and their rivalry can properly restart after Leeds' years in exile as Old Trafford welcomes back fans.
That fixture could be Sancho's official debut, however, he is likely to make appearances in pre-season friendlies.
