England fans let rip at Harry Kane for not squaring to Raheem Sterling in a scenario that mirrored the World Cup semi-final.

The Three Lions went ahead thanks to a goal from Sterling after a Jack Grealish assist.

But minutes later captain Kane found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper after turning a defender following a through-ball.

Sterling appeared to be open in front of goal, but Kane fire his shot at the goalkeeper and England failed to score.

Fans were quick to point out the same thing happened when England played Croatia in the semi-final of the World Cup in Russian in 2018.

One fan joked: "What does Kane have against Sterling?"

Another said sarcastically: "Kane not squaring to Sterling. Haven’t seen that before."

And a fellow fan said: "Just had deja vu with Kane not squaring it to Sterling."

While one supporter added: "Kane not squaring it to Sterling again? World Cup flashbacks."

England came flying out of the blocks with energy and pace, looking a different side to the labouring one that struggled to a 0-0 draw with Scotland.
