Everton left-back Lucas Digne could be out for up to two months with an ankle injury, which may require surgery. The Frenchman has enjoyed a fine start to the campaign with the Toffees but now looks set to miss the festive period following the problem.
Digne is said to have picked up the injury in training, joining a long list of sidelined Premier League stars.
He assisted twice last weekend in the 3-2 win at Fulham and has nailed down a spot in Didier Deschamps’ France side ahead of the European Championships.
Now he will begin the road to recovery with Niels Nkounkou expected to fill in.
According to The Times, Everton fear that they may be without Digne for up to eight weeks.
