Five dream Chelsea signings that Marina Granovskaia can make in January transfer window

Chelsea made some huge signings in the summer, bringing in the likes of Kai Havertz and Timo Werner, but could Marina Granovskaia surprise fans again by splashing the cash to mount a charge for some silverware? Here’s five dream signings she could complete in the January transfer window.

Declan Rice

It’s the move that plenty of Chelsea fans want to see – and it could definitely happen in the not too distant future.

Of course, Rice has previous ties with the club having risen through the academy ranks, and is still best friends with Mason Mount.

So now it’s probably just a case of the Blues stumping up the cash and persuading West Ham to sell arguably their best player, which is easier said than done.

David Alaba

Austrian defender Alaba is expected to leave Bayern Munich either in the winter or next summer, and has been linked with a move to Chelsea.

The Blues could do with more cover at left-back with Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso edging closer to the exit door.

The only hitch is that Alaba, who is also an accomplished centre-back, is open to a move to Liverpool instead, according to Football Insider.

Jadon Sancho

The Sancho to Manchester United saga has rumbled on for years now, and if they don’t pounce soon, someone else should.

It wasn’t that long ago that Chelsea were also being linked with the England winger.

Lampard’s squad doesn’t really need more wingers, but it would be a huge addition if the Blues could get their hands on Sancho.

Erling Haaland

With Olivier Giroud’s Chelsea future looking increasingly uncertain, they will need to replace the France striker.

And who better to bring in than the red hot Haaland who has been lighting up the Bundesliga since his switch to Borussia Dortmund.

He will definitely cost a pretty penny, but imagine Haaland and Timo Werner playing up front together. Lethal!

Dele Alli

Chelsea don’t really need any more attacking midfielders if we’re being honest.

But Alli’s talent is being seriously wasted at Tottenham as he sits on the sidelines under Jose Mourinho.

A move across London would be a simple way to play regular football again, and he would add the fighting spirit Lampard has felt his side have lacked at times.
