Footage of Jobe Bellingham’s commanding display for England Under-19s makes waves, with fans lauding him as ‘a copy and paste Jude’ and saying ‘it’s mad how similar they are’
- Bellingham shone for his country as his brother prepares to play for senior team
- Jobe has impressed for Sunderland this season after joining from Birmingham
- The brothers are both attack-minded players and seem to have bright futures
Fans have lauded Jobe Bellingham after the Sunderland midfielder put in a stunning performance for England U19 against Montenegro.
The Young Lions drew 0-0 in their opening European Championship qualifier at the DG Arena Lješkopolje in Podgorica on Wednesday, with Bellingham running the show from midfield.
With his older brother Jude lighting up European football and preparing for England’s friendly against Australia at Wembley on Friday, Jobe’s last few months have been perhaps a little more low-key.
He joined Sunderland from Birmingham in a £1.5million move and has been a key player in the Black Cats’ positive start to the season, with the club currently sat fourth in the Championship.
And now he has received plaudits for his international showings too, with the 18-year-old, who is nearly two years younger than Jude, tipped for a bright future.

‘Jude & Jobe’s parents have given the English game two elite talents,’ said one X user. ‘When this pair win us a World Cup, Mark & Denise should be on the open top bus tour with the squad.’
‘Scrolled past this several times today, just assumed it was archive footage of Jude,’ said another. ‘Actually mad how similar they are and how arguably one of the best midfielders in the world plays championship football for Sunderland.’
A third added: ‘I was watching this thinking this was an old Jude Bellingham match comp from his U-19 days only to later realize this is his brother Jobe Bellingham.’
The pair play in similar positions on the field, often looking to break forward from midfield positions to create and score goals for their sides.
With the pair both still teenagers, it’s possible they could go onto play for England together for several years to come.

The comparisons, continued to roll in, too, with X users insisting the two are similar in play styles.
Footage showed Jobe’s ball-carrying abilities and passing range as he controlled proceedings in the game.
‘Mark Bellingham legit copy pasted Jude, similar name looks and playstyle it’s insane,’ said one user.
‘It is scary how similar he is to Jude, in every way possible!’ added another. ‘Imagine two Judes.’
