Being a footballer is a lot like being a kid in a candy store – except the candy is made of chrome, leather, and enough horsepower to make Jeremy Clarkson shiver with enthusiasm.
Cars have been a status symbol ever since German engineer Karl Benz first rolled one out of his garage (or wherever 19th Century folk built their society-altering start-up enterprises) around 150 years ago. And boy do footballers like status symbols!
The following elite-level pros don't just score goals – they score the swankiest, fastest, and most outlandishly expensive four-wheelers money can buy. So buckle up as we take you on a turbocharged joyride through the world of footballers and their jaw-dropping car collections!

Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the richest footballers to have ever drawn breath so it's no surprise to learn that he's got one of the world's fanciest car collections. His fleet of vehicles include a £2.15million Bugatti Chiron, £1.5m Bugatti Veyron, a £750,000 McLaren Senna, a £500,000 Phantom Drophead coupe, and a £300,000 Lamborghini Aventador.
He also has a limited-edition Bugatti Centodieci worth a stonking £8.5m, and is one of just 10 people to own the car worldwide. All in all, the Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus icon owns 19 cars, at a staggering combined worth of just under £20m.
Which of these footballers has the best car collection? Let us know in the comments section below.
Marcus Rashford
Marcus Rashford isn't exactly the most flashy of footballers, but you wouldn't know it peeking into his garage. The Manchester United ace bought himself a £560,000 Rolls-Royce Cullinan Blue Shadow last month, which is one of only 62 made.
Clearly a sucker for the regal look, Rashford owns two other Rolls-Royces; a £700,000 Black Badge Wraith and a £390,000 Black Badge Cullinan. That said, he's got his fair share of ostentatious cars too, with his £280,000 McLaren 765 Long Tail and £350,000 Lamborghini Urus Performante the picks of the bunch.
TNT is the only place you can watch all the action from the Champions League this year. You can see every game from the group stage right through to the final as Manchester City look to defend their crown as the newest kings of the World's biggest and best football tournament.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Given the dodgy mohawk he used to rock at Dortmund it's little surprise that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's garage is chock-full of overtly-gaudy supercars. The former Arsenal and Chelsea striker, who clearly doesn't know the meaning of the word subtle, has three of cars painted bright gold, and two with psychedelic silver finishes.
Among his remarkable collection are multiple Lamborghinis, Porsches, Audis, Aston Martins and Ferraris, including a LaFerrari model – of which only 499 were made. Depressingly (or perhaps not when you think about it), Aubameyang has more supercars in his garage than he has goals since leaving Arsenal in January 2022.
Lionel Messi
Lionel Messi might give off a bit of a minimalistic, humble vibe, but he's got a car collection that would make Tony Stark jealous. The little Argentine owns 13 cars in total, but tends to prefer classic models to swanky new designs.
In 2016 he paid an eye-popping £25m for a 1957 Ferrari 335 S Spider Scaglietti, making it one of the most expensive cars in history. He also owns a Pagani Zonda Roadster, a Ferrari F430 Spider and a pair of Range Rovers he's often seen driving to training in. Overall, his fleet of 13 vehicles is valued at around £30m, a whopping £10m more than eternal rival Ronaldo's.
Gareth Bale
The contents of Gareth Bale's garage is a little more basic than the others on this list (after all, there can't be too many ways to drive to and from the driving range), though the Welshman still boasts a collection worth around £800,000.
He's been seen driving a £165,000 Mercedes SLS AMG, a £65,000 Audi Q7 50 TDI and a £152,000 Bentley Continental GT down the years. On the gaudier side, he also owns a £156,000 Lamborghini Huracan and a £230,000 Ferrari GTC4Lusso.
