Manchester City finished five points clear of Manchester City to win the Premier League title last season and five members of Pep Guardiola’s side have made the cut for the Team of the Year, which is voted for by the players.

Alongside Haaland is Rodri and Kevin de Bruyne in midfield. While in defence, John Stones and Ruben Dias are included.

Arsenal have four players in the Team of the Year – Aaron Ramsdale, William Saliba, Martin Odegaard and Saka.

Saka was also named the PFA Young Player of the Year at the awards ceremony in Manchester on Tuesday evening.

Elsewhere, Harry Kane landed a spot in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year for the sixth time in his career after scoring 30 goals in his final season at Tottenham before his move to Bayern Munich earlier this summer.

Newcastle United are the only other club with a player in this year’s team as Kieran Trippier landed a spot at right-back.

Manchester United finished third in the Premier League but it wasn’t enough for a player in Erik ten Hag’s squad to win enough votes to secure a place in the team.

Liverpool, who finished fifth in the Premier League last term, are also without a player in the PFA Team of the Year for the first time in seven years.
