Erling Haaland was reportedly taken off in Manchester City’s game against Bournemouth with a knock in a devastating blow to FPL managers, as well as Pep Guardiola with tough games on the horizon. Haaland has been City’s main source of goals ever since joining from Borussia Dortmund in 2022, but equally as impressive has been his fitness record at the Etihad.
However, that might be tested after his limped off the field at half-time against Bournemouth with City leading 3-0. The Norwegian star was seen in some discomfort as he made his way down the tunnel.
And he didn’t re-emerge for the second half with Guardiola bringing on Phil Foden for the seemingly injured striker. Guardiola will now be fretting over the forward’s fitness as they face both Chelsea and Liverpool next in the Premier League.
While the match at Stamford Bridge is only a week away, Haaland will have more time to prepare for the Liverpool clash as it comes after the next international break.
