New Chelsea playmaker Hakim Ziyech suffered a nightmare start for the Blues as he picked up an injury during the second half of Saturday's friendly at Brighton which the visitors are winning 1-0.
Ziyech was playing in his first game for the Premier League side since joining from Ajax.
But Frank Lampard was forced to withdraw his new No. 22 just 10 minutes into the second half.
It looked to be that Ziyech picked up an ankle injury, and the Moroccan received treatment on the pitch before being helped off by physios.
He was replaced by academy hopeful Conor Gallagher as 2,500 fans watched on inside the Amex Stadium.
Chelsea got off to a fast start on the south coast as new striker Werner broke the deadlock after just four minutes.
Ziyech helped to set up the opening goal with a fine pass from the right wing, which was nodded into Werner's path by Callum Hudson-Odoi.
The German then stroked the ball home across goal from just outside the six yard box.
2,500 supporters were allowed to attend the Amex for Saturday’s friendly as something of a trial run for when fans return.
There are plenty of hand sanitisers and Seagulls supporters were seen donning face coverings.
Brighton chief executive Paul Barber told The Athletic: “We had the plan in with the Premier League before the meeting with the secretary of state.
