Inter have made a loan approach for Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, with the midfielder’s future uncertain in north London.
The Nerazzurri are looking to hijack a move for the Frenchman after Serie A rivals Genoa saw a deal for the player fall through.
The newly-promoted side had looked unlikely to seal a move for one of the star’s of Napoli’s stunning Scudetto-winning campaign in 2022-23, and now their former target could end up at one of the giants of Italian football.
Reports in Italy suggest that Simone Inzaghi is unsure on being able to rely on Stefano Senisi, and as such is keen to reinforce in midfield.
The 26-year-old has struggled to settle in England following his 2019 arrival from Lyon, failing to show the level of consistency that prompted Spurs to shell out a club-record £65million fee.

Ndombele’s loan return to Lyon for the final part of the 2021-22 season was largely uninspiring, but his role in Napoli’s first title win in 33 years teased a return to the Tottenham fold.
However it would appear that the player has failed to impress new boss Ange Postecoglou enough to warrant a reintegration into the fold at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
When asked earlier this week about the player’s place at the club, Postecoglou said: ‘Tanguy is in a boat with a few other guys. I said the other day that we’ve got five or six players more than we can name on a (25-man squad registration) list.
‘All these things come down to decisions that people make, whether it’s individual players, whether it’s myself.
‘I’m sure this week those kind of things will work themselves out. Tanguy’s still training, he’s working hard at training, but that midfield area, we’re going really well at the minute.’
Ndombele still has two more years left on his contract, having signed a six-year deal on his arrival from Lyon, and as such looks set for a loan move for a season before clubs may seek a cut-price deal as he enters his final year.
The 26-year-old has made 91 appearances for Tottenham, scoring 10 goals and registering nine assists.
