Footage has emerged of James Rodriguez and Allan performing their initiation songs having joined Everton this summer.

Rodriguez, who won the Golden Boot at the 2014 World Cup, has headed to Goodison Park from Real Madrid having previously worked under Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti.

Allan made the switch to the Toffees from Napoli, also reuniting with Ancelotti, and both could make their debut against Tottenham today.

And both made sure they got to now their team-mates by taking on initiation songs with new signings regularly made to sing in front of their squad.

Rodriguez can be seen standing on a chair while singing befor stepping down and performing a little samba dance.

Allan is more shy in his approach, standing on the same chair with his hands in his pocket and reading lyrics from his phone.

Agent Kia Joorabchian, who played a role in Rodriguez’s transfer, believes both players joined due to Ancelotti.

He told talkSPORT: “James is a world superstar. He has 47m followers on Instagram and has played for the best teams in the world in Bayern and Real Madrid.

“The ‘Ancelotti factor’ played a big part in the deal. Everton now have a very big and important manager who has won everything and knows how to win.

“And Everton’s will to press and go forward… I have to say Farhad [Moshiri, Everton owner] has given so much, he’s backed every manager he’s had and he’s bought whatever the mangers have asked. He’s taking the club up to that level.

“Bringing in experience with Allan and James, who Ancelotti knows really well and he knows how to get the best out of him, that’s the key. He did that at Munich and Real Madrid.
