Kevin De Bruyne's streak of misfortune has worsened after his prized home was reportedly burgled and trashed.
It's believed no-one was harmed during the raid on his mansion in Bolderberg, not far from Antwerp. Dutch outlet HLN reported the crocked Manchester City midfielder – who hasn't featured for the club since August – was travelling with the rest of the squad in Saudi Arabia when the robbery took place on Saturday.
Neither wife Michele nor their three children were at the property when the invasion took place, either. It's understood the perpetrators accessed the building by using a step ladder to climb in through a first-floor window.

The Belgium talisman was sighted at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday as Pep Guardiola's side drew 2-2 against Crystal Palace. He then travelled with the rest of the squad to the FIFA Club World Cup in Jeddah before learning what had unfolded.
De Bruyne, 32, and his family spend most of the year in their English residence in Wilmslow, Cheshire. However, they've kept the sprawling 70-acre site in the Belgian municipality of Heusden-Zolder since purchasing it in 2015.
Its understood the couple renovated the white-stone villa for four years before work was completed in 2019. And De Bruyne has posted videos of the property via his social media in the past.
The massive plot features a basketball court, swimming pool and jacuzzi. However, it's the contents of the mansion itself which will have concerned the thieves most while De Bruyne and his family were away.
According to reports, items had been removed but without any indication as to what or their value. And the news is sure to put a dampener on the family's Christmas plans after striking just a week out from the big day.
It may have also tainted the end of De Bruyne's 2023 just as the playmaker appears to be nearing a return to fitness. The former Chelsea and Wolfsburg star hasn't played for City since suffering a hamstring injury at Burnley on August 11 and undergoing surgery shortly afterward.
