Kylian Mbappe was left frustrated by PSG’s Champions League draw with Newcastle after scoring the controversial 98th-minute penalty which earned a point.
The Parisian’s were behind for most of the contest on Tuesday thanks to Alexander Isak’s goal, which lifted the Magpies off the bottom of Group F.
However, with only minutes remaining in added time, the Ligue 1 champions were awarded a spot-kick after Ousmane Dembele’s cross deflected off Tino Livramento’s chest and then onto his elbow.
Despite initially waving away the home side’s desperate protests, referee Szymon Marciniak gave the penalty after reviewing the incident at the pitchside monitor.
Mbappe calmly stepped up and grabbed the point that ensures PSG will go into the final matchday with their destiny still in their own hands.

Nick Pope pulled off a string of quality saves that preserved Newcastle’s lead going into the final minutes of the tie
Still, the 24-year-old was not satisfied by the late leveller and reckoned his side created more than enough chances to win the game.
‘It’s frustrating because we dominated from start to finish.’ He said post-match. ‘They have nothing. We knew it was their game to have nothing.
‘We needed to finish our moves better. We need to work harder in front of goal in games like this.
‘We need to kill them off. We had too many clear chances and we should have easily won the match.’
The home side were camped in Newcastle’s half for most of the second period and posted a scarcely believable xG of 4.5 compared to the Magpies’ 1.3. When they weren’t outright missing chances, PSG were met with an inspired Nick Pope, who produced a string of quality saves.
Luis Enrique’s side travel to Germany to face Borussia Dortmund, who have already secured their qualification, in their final match in the group.
The Magpies host AC Milan where they will need a win to stand any chance of progressing, while also hoping the Bundesliga side can do them a favour.
