Leeds United are facing a potential problem with their new signing Rodrigo ahead of the Premier League season.
The Whites are forking out in a bid to improve their squad this summer.
After winning promotion from the Championship, the Yorkshire outfit are desperate that their time in the top tier is not a fleeting visit.
Marcelo Bielsa has moved to sign a striker after making the position a priority in the transfer market.
Rodrigo has been the club's top target and they have pulled off a real coup to land the Spaniard.
He has signed from Valencia for a fee in the region of £27m.
But Leeds are facing a major problem as the Premier League prepares to start up next month.
Spain was removed from the United Kingdom's list of corridor countries on July 25, meaning Rodrigo has had to self-isolate for 14 days after arriving in Leeds.
At this moment, this is not a huge issue – but Rodrigo has been called up to the Spain national squad.
Los Toros face Germany in Stuttgart before taking on Ukraine at the Bernabeu in Madrid on September 6.
It means that Rodrigo will be heading back to England by the next day at the earliest, meaning he will miss the start of the season by quarantining.
Leeds are kicking off the Premier League season against the Champions Liverpool on September 12 before facing Fulham at home seven days later.
Both fixtures Rodrigo could miss but there could be good news for the Elland Road outfit.
According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, there is an argument to be made that the striker's visit to Spain could see him miss self-isolation.
