Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has been spotted in Barcelona as rumours begin to swirl that his side are about to agree a deal to bring Barcelona legend Lionel Messi to the Etihad.
Messi told Barca officials on Tuesday that he wanted out of the Nou Camp after 17 years with the club.
The Catalan giants desperately want to keep him but Messi reportedly has his head and heart set on a move away.
It’s also been reported that City, and a reunion with Guardiola, are his preferences moving forward.

He has, however, been linked with the likes of Paris Saint-German, Inter Milan and Manchester United too.
But City are said to be close to agreeing personal terms with Messi, who believes he has a chance of leaving Barca for free.
City chiefs are apparently supposed to convene in Barcelona soon to hash out a deal for Messi.

But Guardiola has already been spotted dining out in his home city at top restaurant Kao.
According to Argentine newspaper La Nacion, Messi has already told his friends that he wants to move to City.
He reportedly said: “I’m going to talk to Pep so he can arrange my move to City.
“The football there is spectacular.”
Messi, 33, is also supposed to have already spoken to Guardiola on the phone at length about the move to Manchester.
City are desperate to win the Champions League while Messi wants to win his first one since 2015.
Messi’s relationship with Josep Bartomeu has massively deteriorated and the forward doesn’t want any part of Barca anymore.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has already ruled out a move for Messi, while United likely can’t afford him.
Chelsea are going to spend close to £250million this summer and are not said to be looking at Messi as a viable transfer option either.
